Phase separation during blood spreading

چکیده
Abstract Blood pools can spread on several types of substrates depending the surrounding environment and conditions. Understanding influence these parameters spreading blood provide crime scene investigators with useful information. The focus present study is phase separation, that is, when serum spreads outside main pool. For this purpose, constant initial masses wooden floors were either varnished or not created at ambient temperatures $$21~^{\circ }\hbox {C}$$ 21 ? C , $$29~^{\circ 29 $$37~^{\circ 37 a relative humidity varying from 20 to 90%. range covers almost all worldwide indoor cases. same whole donor was used for experiments. As result, an increase in found result final pool area. In addition, three different experimental temperatures, levels above 50%. This separation more significant substrates, does lead any changes drying morphology. phenomenon explained by competition between coagulation evaporation.

Non-aqueous phase liquid spreading during soil vapor extraction.
Many non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) are expected to spread at the air-water interface, particularly under non-equilibrium conditions. In the vadose zone, this spreading should increase the surface area for mass transfer and the efficiency of volatile NAPL recovery by soil vapor extraction (SVE). Observations of spreading on water wet surfaces led to a conceptual model of oil spreading vertic...
متن کاملSuppression of Phase Separation in LiFePO4 Nanoparticles During Battery Discharge
Using a novel electrochemical phase-field model, we question the common belief that LixFePO4 nanoparticles separate into Li-rich and Li-poor phases during battery discharge. For small currents, spinodal decomposition or nucleation leads to moving phase boundaries. Above a critical current density (in the Tafel regime), the spinodal disappears, and particles fill homogeneously, which may explain...
متن کاملPhase separation during co-deposition of Al-Ge thin films
We present the results of a combined experimental and theoretical investigation of phase separation and microstructure development in co-deposited Al-Ge thin films. For small film thicknesses and deposition temperatures above 150 °C the phase-separated films consist of an array of domains of the Aland Ge-rich terminal phases (lateral phase separation). Films deposited at 100 °C or less containe...
متن کاملPhase Separation Phenomena During the Formation of Asymmetric Membranes
The formation of membranes from two systems has been studied. In the system polyurethanedimethylformamide-water, the mechanism for the formation of the sponge-like structure proves to be a liquid-liquid phase separation with nucleation and growth of the diluted phase. This mechanism has been confirmed for the system modified polystyrene-polyisoprene-polystyrene/ o-dichlorobenzene/(methanol-wate...
متن کاملMonte Carlo simulation of phase separation during thin-film codeposition
The results of Monte Carlo simulation of phase separation during binary film coevaporation are presented for a range of deposition conditions. The model employed assumes that phase separation occurs through surface interdiffusion during deposition, while the bulk of the film remains frozen. Simulations were performed on A-B alloy films having compositions of 10 and 50 ~01% solute. For both film...
